Indians' Brandon Guyer (wrist) unlikely to be available for postseason
Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona said that outfielder Brandon Guyer isn't likely to return for the postseason.
MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports that Guyer might not even play if the Indians were to advance to the ALCS or the World Series. He aggravated a wrist injury last month and it doesn't appear that he'll be ready in time for postseason action. Jay Bruce, Lonnie Chisenhall, Austin Jackson and Michael Brantley will serve as the team's corner outfielders for the foreseeable future.
In primarily a backup role, Guyer has slashed .236/.326/.327 with 2 home runs and 20 RBI in 2017.
