Boston's Mitch Moreland played through toe and knee injuries during ALDS
Boston Red Sox first basemanMitch Moreland said following Monday's Game 4 loss to the Houston Astros that he has been trying to manage a broken toe, which most likely led to a knee injury.
Moreland hurt his toe back in June, and apparently he hurt his knee while trying to compensate for the injury. Moreland will have time to recover now that the Red Sox have been eliminated from the postseason. He is scheduled to have his knee looked at on Tuesday.
Moreland posted a .246/.326/.443 slash line, with 22 home runs, 79 RBI, and 73 runs scored over 576 plate appearances in 2017.
