Dodgers' free agent Yu Darvish expected to sign with a team this week
Los Angeles Dodgers free agent pitcher Yu Darvish is expected to sign with a team this week, per Jon Morosi of MLB Netowrk.
Darvish is the prize of the 2018 free agent class and is nearing a deal. He has been linked with multiple teams including the Minnesota Twins, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers and New York Yankees. When Darvish signs, expect the signings to come not long after for other free agent pitchers Jake Arrieta and Alex Cobb.
Darvish posted a 3.71 SIERA and 1.16 WHIP with 209 strikeouts in 186 2/3 innings pitched for the Dodgers and Texas Rangers in 2017.
