Tigers' Victor Martinez (heart) was able to go through normal offseason program
Per MLB.com's Jason Beck, Detroit Tigers catcher/designated hitter Victor Martinez said that he "felt fine" while going through his normal offseason training program.
Martinez had missed the final month of the regular season with an irregular heartbeat. He eventually underwent a procedure to address the issue, but he's been doing well and had no limitations in his offseason program. Expect him to resume his role as designated hitter in Detroit.
Last season, Martinez ended the year with 10 home runs, 47 RBI and a .306 wOBA in 107 games.
