Angels lowering right field wall in 2018

According to the Los Angeles Times' Mike DiGiovanna, the Los Angeles Angels will lower their right field wall from 18 feet to 8 feet in 2018.

What It Means:

Angel Stadium hasn't been too bad of a hitting park, but it could see a boost this season. While the Angels don't have a ton of heavy left-handed bats, this should benefit Kole Calhoun and Mike Trout, who has been known to go opposite-field quite frequently. This will be notably harder on Angels' hurlers as well.

According to ESPN's Park Factor, Angel Stadium was among the bottom 13 ballparks in terms of scoring runs and hitting home runs a year ago.
