Brandon Moss released by Athletics
The Oakland Athletics released designated hitter Brandon Moss.
Moss cleared waivers after being designated for assignment over the weekend. The 34-year-old veteran has hit a total of 50 home runs over the past two seasons. He was acquired from the Kansas City Royals in a late January trade.
Moss slashed .207/.279/.428 with 22 dingers, 50 RBI, 41 runs scored, and 2 steals in 401 plate appearances (118 games) with the Royals in 2017.
