Cubs' Javier Baez (hamstring) says cramp caused early exit on Thursday
Chicago Cubs infielder Javier Baez says his hamstring cramped up during Thursday's Cactus League matchup with the San Diego Padres.
"After I took the third step, I felt a little cramp," Baez said. "When I got to first base, it went back to feeling normal." He exited in the second inning on Thursday for what was described as hamstring tightness, but Baez doesn't expect to miss any time. The Cubs face the Chicago White Sox on Saturday in their next outing.
numberFire's models project Baez to hit .256 with 19 home runs, 60 RBI, 59 runs, and 11 stolen bases in 497 plate appearances this season.
