Matt Shoemaker (forearm) lands on Angels' disabled list
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Matt Shoemaker is on the 10-day disabled list with a right forearm strain.
Parker Bridwell has been recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding roster move. Shoemaker allowed 3 runs on 4 hits with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings while picking up a win in his season debut on Friday. It's unclear how severe the strain is.
Prior to this announcement, numberFire's models projected Shoemaker to record a 4.40 ERA and 1.34 WHIP with 106 strikeouts while going 7-8 across 125 innings over the remainder of the season.
