Twins' Ervin Santana (finger) still not throwing
Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Ervin Santana (finger) still hasn't resumed throwing and may go for a follow-up exam on his surgically-repaired right middle finger.
Santana was initially expected to return around late April or early May when he had the finger operated on in February, but that no longer appears to be the case. The 35-year-old right-hander recorded a 3.28 ERA and 1.13 WHIP while going 16-8 across 211 1/3 innings last season.
Prior to this report, numberFire's models projected Santana to record a 4.62 ERA and 1.37 WHIP with 118 strikeouts across 150 innings in 2018.
