Blue Jays place Josh Donaldson (shoulder) on DL
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson has ben placed on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to April 11th.
According to John Lott of The Athletic, Donaldson underwent more scans on his injured shoulder, which showed no instability or structural damage. Still, the team said, "His throwing ability has not improved to his desired level." Donaldson will work on a throwing program to rehab while Yangervis Solarte takes over everyday duties at third.
Our models project Donaldson to hit .275 with 33 dingers and 87 RBI over the rest of the 2018 season.
