David Freese to come off Pirates' bench on Thursday
Pittsburgh Pirates third/first baseman David Freese is not in the starting lineup for Thursday series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies.
In yesterday's start, Freese went 1-for-4 with a walk, a double and two RBI in five plate appearances. With righty Jake Arrieta on the bump for Philadelphia, Colin Moran will return to third and hit seventh for Pittsburgh.
Our models project Freese to tally 4 home runs and 25 RBI over the remainder of the Pirates' 2018 campaign.
