Cardinals' Carlos Martinez (lat) placed on 10-day DL
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez has been placed on the team's 10-day disabled list with a right lat strain.
Martinez was on fire before Tuesday's start, so this might be the reason why. It isn't yet known how long he'll be out, though some reports suggest that it might not be more than the minimum 10 days. The sooner he gets back to form the better.
Over 8 starts and 50 innings, Martinez is 3-2 with a 1.62 ERA and 3.41 FIP.
