Twins' Ervin Santana (finger) to make a rehab start on Wednesday
Minnesota Twins pitcher Ervin Santana (finger) will make a rehab start on Wednesday for Double-A Chatanooga, per Brandon Warne of Zone Coverage.
Santana has been out all year after undergoing surgery on the middle finger of his pitching hand. He has been throwing BP and was expected to go to extended Spring Training on Monday, but due to bad weather he will move along in his rehab and make a start in Double-A on Wednesday. If all goes well, Santana will be back in the rotation by early-June.
numberFire's algorithms project Santana for a 4.71 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and 97 strikeouts in 122 1/3 innings pitched the rest of the season.
