Jeff Mathis sitting out Tuesday for Diamondbacks
Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Jeff Mathis is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Mathis got the start on Monday night in the first game of the series, but he was just 0-for-2 with a walk. Alex Avila is taking over behind the plate and batting seventh against Jhoulys Chacin on Tuesday.
Our models project Mathis for a .207 batting average with 2 home runs, 11 runs scored, and 11 RBI over 131 plate appearances remaining this season.
