Diamondbacks' Socrates Brito making season debut on Wednesday
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Socrates Brito is making his season debut against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.
Brito was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday to provide some outfield depth while A.J. Pollock (thumb) and Steven Souza (pectoral) are unavailable. He will play right field and bat seventh versus Brewers southpaw Brent Suter while making his first big league appearance since the 2016 season. Chris Owings will move to center field and Jarrod Dyson will be available off the Diamondbacks' bench.
Brito slashed .323/.365/.437 with 2 home runs, 7 steals, 25 runs scored, and 21 RBI in 42 games at the Triple-A level this season.
