J.D. Davis out of the Astros' lineup on Wednesday afternoon
Houston Astros infielder/outfielder J.D. Davis is not starting on Wednesday against the San Francisco Giants.
What It Means:
Davis got a start in left field on Wednesday, but he'll return to the bench this afternoon. Marwin Gonzalez will take his spot in the lineup and bat fifth.
Davis has shown some potential as a hitter in the minors, putting up a .415/.473/.654 batting line over 146 plate appearances in Triple-A this season.
