Charlie Tilson called up, starting for White Sox on Thursday
Chicago White Sox outfielder Charlie Tilson was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte and is starting against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday afternoon.
What It Means:
Leury Garcia is sidelined with a sprained knee, so Tilson has been tabbed to help fill the void in the outfield. He will man left and bat eighth versus Pirates right-hander Ivan Nova in Thursday's series finale while making just the second big league appearance of his career.
