Christian Villanueva homers twice on Saturday to push Padres over Dodgers
San Diego Padres third baseman Christian Villanueva homered twice and drove in three runs in a 7-5 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday.
The surprising slugger, Villanueva, now has 14 homers on the season, but has been extremely valuable despite not hitting for average like he was at the beginning of the year.
Villanueva holds a .242/.311/.570 triple-slash line through 164 plate appearances this year, with 14 home runs, 22 runs, and 31 RBI.
