Jaguars' Leonard Fournette slimming down for 2018 season

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette's goal is to play at his college weight of 220-225 pounds in the 2018 season.

What It Means:

"I feel like I play my best at what I played at in college," Fournette said Tuesday. "I put in my best at that weight and why not (get back there)?" Fournette weighed in at a sturdy 240 pounds at the NFL Combine, but both reporter Mike Kaye and ESPN's Michael DiRocco, earlier this month, described Fournette as "much leaner." Stamina and durability were rookie concerns for Fournette, so it's a good thing for fantasy owners that he's considering his conditioning.

Our models project Fournette for 1,195 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 277 attempts, adding 37 catches for 295 receiving yards and 1 receiving touchdown. He's our eighth-best preseason running back for fantasy this year.
