Josh Donaldson (calf) not in Blue Jays' lineup versus Rays
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Blue Jays manager John Gibbons raised the possibility Tuesday that Donaldson would be activated off the disabled list for Wednesday's series finale, but it looks like they may hold off until the club returns home for Friday's opener against the Washington Nationals. The 32-year-old veteran hasn't played since May 28 because of a left calf injury. Toronto is starting Gio Urshela at third base on Wednesday.
Donaldson averaged 10.2 FanDuel points before the injury while slashing .234/.333/.423 with 5 home runs and 16 RBI across 159 plate appearances.
