Jose Martinez activated from paternity list, starting Monday for Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Jose Martinez is active from the paternity leave list and starting versus the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday.
Martinez missed the Cardinals' weekend series against the Chicago Cubs while tending to the birth of his daughter in Venezuela. He will bat third versus Phillies right-hander Nick Pivetta in Monday's series opener. Luke Voit was optioned to Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding roster move.
numberFire's models project Martinez to score 11.1 FanDuel points at a cost of $3,900 on Monday.
