Jose Altuve receiving a rare day off Tuesday in Houston
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
It is Altuve's first day off this season as he is second in the majors with 328 plate appearances coming into play Tuesday. The Astros will shuffle around their infield to compensate, with Alex Bregman at second base, and Yuli Gurriel playing at the hot corner. Tyler White is in the game at first base as well.
Our models project Altuve for a .316 batting average with 11 home runs, 62 runs scored, 44 RBI, and 15 steals over 383 plate appearances remaining this season.
