Marlins' Dan Straily suspended for five games
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Dan Straily has been suspended for five games regarding Tuesday's altercation with the San Francisco Giants.
The incident stemmed from Lewis Brinson's enthusiasm with a big hit on Monday, leading to a number of players being drilled on both sides. Five games may seem high, but it's only one start for Straily. However, he will appeal the ruling. Manager Don Mattingly was suspended one game as well.
In 46.0 innings across 10 games thus far, Straily has a 2-3 record, a 4.89 ERA, and a 1.50 WHIP.
