Athletics' Josh Phegley on bench versus White Sox in Game 1
Oakland Athletics catcher Josh Phegley is not starting versus the Chicago White Sox in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader.
What It Means:
Phegley hit his 1st home run of the season in Wednesday's start against the San Diego Padres but the 30-year-old backstop will return to the bench for the front end of Friday's slate. Jonathan Lucroy will start at catcher for the Athletics.
