Jays' closer Roberto Osuna suspended 75 games by MLB
Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Roberto Osuna has been suspended 75 games, retroactive to May 8, for violating the Domestic Violence, Sexual Assualt, and Child Abuse Policy.
Osuna was arrested for an alleged assault earlier this year and has been on administrative leave since May 8. He will not appeal the suspension, which is unpaid, and will eligible to return to action on August 4. Ryan Tepera has been handling the closing duties for Toronto in his absence.
Osuna has 9 saves, a 2.93 ERA, and 1.11 WHIP with 13 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings pitched this season.
