Cubs' Kris Bryant (shoulder) nearing return
Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant (shoulder) had a successful hitting session in the batting cage on Friday.
The Cubs are deciding whether or not Bryant will need a rehab assignment before returning to the active roster but this at least raises the possibility that he will be back before the All-Star break. Bryant has been sidelined with a sore shoulder for the past two weeks.
Prior to going down, Bryant was averaging 11.8 FanDuel points in 66 games while slashing .280/.383/.481 with 9 home runs and 36 RBI across 311 plate appearances.
