Athletics' Nick Martini starting, leading off on Thursday
Oakland Athletics outfielder Nick Martini is starting on Thursday against the Houston Astros.
What It Means:
This is Martini's third start of the season and first since June 8. He hit ninth in each of those contests but will lead off the Athletics' order on Thursday afternoon versus Astros right-hander Charlie Morton while replacing Chad Pinder in left field. As a result, Pinder will move to second base and Jed Lowrie will grab a seat on the bench.
