Yoenis Cespedes (hip) could return for Mets on Friday
New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (hip, quad) hit 2 home runs and played five innings of left field in a simulated game at the club's spring training complex on Monday.
Cespedes also singled and drew a walk. He has been shelved since May 13 due to hip and quad injuries but could be activated off the disabled list for the Mets' first game after the All-Star break against the New York Yankees on Friday night at New York at Yankee Stadium.
Cespedes averaged 11.0 FanDuel points in 37 games prior to the injury while slashing .255/.316/.474 with 8 home runs and 28 RBIs across 152 plate appearances.
