Yu Darvish (elbow, triceps) remains 'weeks away' from return to Cubs' rotation
Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Yu Darvish (elbow, triceps) is still "weeks away" from returning, pitching coach Jim Hickey said.
Darvish was placed on the disabled list in May with triceps tendinitis and then diagnosed with a right elbow impingement in June. He threw on July 9 for the first time since going down but it's possible the right-hander suffered another setback.
Darvish averaged 27.4 FanDuel points and went 1-3 in eight starts before landing on the DL, while posting a 4.95 ERA with 49 strikeouts and 21 walks across 40 innings.
