Carlos Martinez (oblique) activated from DL, starting for St. Louis on Monday
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez (oblique) has been activated from the DL and is starting on Monday versus the Colorado Rockies.
Martinez last pitched on July 19, so he missed just one turn in the rotation with the right oblique strain. He is not expected to be on a pitch count on Monday night. Matinez has posted a 4.63 xFIP while striking out 8.4 batters per 9 innings over 95 2/3 innings pitched this season.
Our models project Martinez to go 6 1/3 innings while striking out 5.7 batters and allowing 2.6 earned runs for 32.5 FanDuel points on Monday.
