Astros' Jose Altuve (knee) to try hitting, running Friday
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is expected to resume hitting and running on Friday.
If all goes well, Altuve could potentially be back by next week. He landed on the disabled list July 28, retroactive to July 26, with discomfort in his right knee. Marwin Gonzalez has helped fill the void at second base since Altuve went down.
Altuve was averaging 11.0 FanDuel points in 104 games for Houston, while slashing .329/.392/.464 with 9 dingers, 64 RBI, 16 steals, and 46 runs scored across 454 plate appearances.
