Whit Merrifield out of Royals' lineup versus White Sox
Kansas City Royals second baseman/outfielder Whit Merrifield is out of Thursday's lineup versus the Chicago White Sox.
It looks like a routine breather for Merrifield, who owns a career-high .296 batting average this season. Adalberto Mondesi will cover second base again while Brett Phillips moves over to center field and Jorge Bonifacio starts in right.
Merrifield is averaging 10.3 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire's models project him to hit .290 with 4 homers, 20 RBI, 10 steals, and 27 runs scored over the rest of the year.
