Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani is batting third on Tuesday versus right-hander Jacob Turner and the Detroit Tigers.
What It Means:
Ohtani went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks and stole his 4th base of the year while batting fifth in the Angels' win over the Tigers in Monday's series opener. He also threw off the mound Tuesday for the first time since receiving an injection in his elbow two months ago. Kole Calhoun will lead off and Justin Upton will hit second versus Turner.
