Jordy Mercer (calf) sitting for Pirates on Wednesday
Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer (calf) is out of Wednesday's lineup versus the Minnesota Twins.
Mercer was pulled from Tuesday's contest due to left calf discomfort. It's not clear whether or not he will be available off the bench. Adeiny Hechavarria has drawn the start at shortstop.
Mercer is averaging 7.7 FanDuel points per game this season, while slashing .262/.329/.397 with 6 home runs, 37 RBI, 40 runs scored, and 2 steals across 396 plate appearances.
