Nationals' Kelvin Herrera lands on disabled list with Lisfranc tear
Washington Nationals reliever Kelvin Herrera is on the 10-day disabled list with a torn Lisfranc ligament in his left foot.
Herrera had to be carted off from Sunday's matchup with the New York Mets after sustaining a serious leg injury. The 28-year-old right-hander may be out for the rest of the season. Sean Doolittle (foot) is still out, so Ryan Madson, who was activated from the DL on Monday, figures to take over the closer role for Washington.
If Herrera's season is over, he averaged 4.7 FanDuel points per outing, with a 2.44 ERA and 38 strikeouts across 44 1/3 innings in 2018.
