Darren Collison, PG, Indiana Pacers

DraftKings Salary: $4,900

Darren Collison heads into this one needing 24.5 DraftKings points, which he has exceeded in four of his past seven games. His production has been all over the map during that span, with performances of 45.75 and 8.5 DraftKings points, consecutively, to illustrate his inconsistency. He has an average of 25.9 DraftKings points during that span, which definitely makes him worth a look at this salary.

The primary appeal with Collison tonight is the matchup. This game has the third-highest over/under on the slate, and his Indiana Pacers face a Cleveland Cavaliers defense that has allowed their past three opponents to average 129 points per game. Cleveland ranks 29th in defensive efficiency, is bottom-10 against the point guard position, and has allowed Collison to average 31.8 DraftKings points in two meetings this season.

The main reason Collison sees his minutes restricted is his liabilities on the defensive end, as Indiana often chooses to close games with Cory Joseph. He should be able to mask his defensive ineptitude somewhat tonight, as Jose Calderon isn't likely to exploit the matchup with Isaiah Thomas out.

With all things considered, Collison still is too volatile to consider in cash games. The upside is certainly there in tournaments though, where he is an intriguing salary-saving option.
