3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 2/9/18

Robert Covington, SF/PF, Philadelphia 76ers

DraftKings Salary: $5,600

Not only are the Philadelphia 76ers in a great spot against a New Orleans Pelicans squad allowing the second-most points in the league, but the 76ers may play this game without Joel Embiid. If Embiid sits, that will make the mid-range values for the Sixers very attractive in a terrific game script and matchup.

Robert Covington and J.J. Redick ($5,200) stand out as the best options at sub-$6,000 as both are quite affordable and have seen noteable boosts without Embiid. In such instances, Covington's usage rate is up 2.9 percentage points while his DraftKings points per minute have risen from 0.86 to 0.96. Redick has seen a 2.7 percentage point usage boost along with a 0.12 point-per-minute boost to his DraftKings production.

Both are firmly in play in tournaments regardless of Embiid's status. If the big man sits this one out, though, Covington and Redick become viable plays in any format in this uptempo matchup.
