If looking for a safer option among punt plays, Davis Bertans is your man. The San Antonio Spurs head into this game without LaMarcus Aldridge, Kawhi Leonard, and Rudy Gay, while Dejounte Murray and Tony Parker are also questionable. Bertans is averaging a quite useful 0.91 DraftKings points per minute with Aldridge, Kawhi, and Gay sidelined, and that clip would require just 24 minutes of him to exceed value -- 5 points per every $1,000 in salary -- at this price tag. Bertans needs 21.5 DraftKings points to hit value, which has been a realistic outcome for him even with Aldridge in the lineup.

The matchup against the Utah Jazz is far from ideal, but Utah is playing on the back end of a back-to-back and Rudy Gobert will presumably be defending Pau Gasol rather than Bertans.

Speaking of Gasol ($4,800), he is the only player on the entire slate that our projections have as a better value than Bertans today. Both should benefit greatly from the absence of LMA, with Bertans being the preferred cash-game option and Gasol the tournament target.
