D'Angelo Russell

Even with the return of Spencer Dinwiddie from injury (yay!), there’s no reason to doubt the tear that D'Angelo Russell has been on this season.

Russell has hit at least five-times value in five of his last eight games, which includes two 56-point fantasy nights against fellow Eastern Conference playoff teams. He has no shyness from deep (over seven shots per game from three), he’s averaging better than 20 points per game, and he’s dishing out seven assists a night, earning every bit of his first All-Star nod this season.

Russell has been a top-20 fantasy producer over the last couple weeks and we’ve seen his salary hit the $9,000 range, as expected. Will the return of Dinwiddie cut into Russell’s minutes and subsequent production? Maybe a little. Will that lead to a slight salary decrease? We can always pray, but doubtful.

Even so, Russell is playing with the confidence and skill that can lead to huge nights while setting a pretty decent floor.

The Nets face the Hornets tonight, followed by games against the Heat, Mavericks, and Cavaliers.
