If you haven't already rostered Fred VanVleet for tonight, then you're behind the eight ball. The Toronto Raptors' backup guard will be everyone's favorite DFS value play of the day given that we already have news that starter Kyle Lowry has been ruled out for tonight's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

VanVleet has been very effective in a starting role this season. In 23 starts, he's put up averages of 13.4 points, 3.5 boards, 5.7 assists, 0.9 steals, 2.0 triples, and 29.5 DraftKings points in 32.1 minutes per game. He's been getting better as the season has progressed.

He's scored at least 31.25 DraftKings points in four of his past five games, which includes three games of 39.5 or more. He'll take that solid recent play against a Thunder team who has given up the fourth-most DraftKings points per game to opposing point guards over their past seven contests.

Our models see him thriving in the starting role once again, projecting him for 29.3 DraftKings points tonight, which equates to a return of just over 6.2 points per $1,000.
