Rodney Hood, SF, Portland Trail Blazers

FanDuel Price: $4,200
Projected FanDuel Points: 18.5
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.40

After having Jake Layman start at shooting guard in place of the injured C.J. McCollum for seven straight games, the Portland Trail Blazers shook things up and inserted Rodney Hood into the starting five instead on Monday. All Hood did was go off for 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in 28.7 minutes, picking up 33.3 FanDuel points. He was 8-for-14 from the floor, sparking the Blazers to 132 points and likely securing another start on Wednesday.

In his only other start in a Blazers uniform this season, Hood dropped 17 points in 28 minutes against the New Orleans Pelicans. Since that game on March 15, Hood has played a vital part for the Blazers, having seen at least 24 minutes in seven of nine games, thanks to the McCollum injury. He finished with at least 22 FanDuel points in four of those seven games. Facing a Memphis Grizzlies’ defense that is likely to be without Mike Conley, Hood should find plenty of chances to continue his hot streak on Wednesday.

Since the All-Star break, the Grizzlies have struggled to defend the perimeter, giving up 12.3 threes per game, the 10th-most in the league. Hood has gone 6-for-14 (42.9%) from deep in his last four games.
