NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Sunday 1/13/19

James Harden has dropped in at least 32 points in 15 straight games and is an elite option on Sunday. Which other players should you roster?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. EST.

Best of the Best

James Harden ($12,800): This one kind of goes without saying, but for as long as he's on the slate and both Chris Paul and Eric Gordon on the bench, Harden deserves strong consideration as a plug-and-play option across all formats. In the last 15 games, he has scored at least 32 real-world points in every single game. He has played more than 38 minutes in 10 of the 15 games and has had a usage rate of more than 40.0% in 11 of the 15 games. He's averaged 1.70 FanDuel points per minute in those games and has cleared the 70.0-point mark on five occasions. There is no higher floor and ceiling right now and on a four-game slate, it's terrifying to fade Harden.
