NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 3/5/19

With Paul George sidelined yet again, the Thunder backcourt offers big fantasy upside. Who else should you target on tonight's six-game slate?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.

Best of the Best

Karl-Anthony Towns ($11,500): KAT has been absolutely rolling, topping 64 FanDuel points three times in his last four games. His floor can be shaky, but it's hard to ignore his upside, with the fourth-most games of 60-plus FanDuel points (18) of any player in the NBA. The Oklahoma City Thunder aren't an especially worrisome matchup, sitting 15th in fantasy points allowed to centers, and the fact that this matchup is expected to be close (the Minnesota Timberwolves are favored by two points) means Towns should get plenty of run. He's averaging just shy of 36 minutes per game in the last six contests he has played with single-digit margins of victory, with 60 FanDuel points per game in that sample.
