Thunder's Russell Westbrook (knee) still not cleared for full-contact work
Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbook has still not been cleared for full-contact work after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery four weeks ago. He has, however, seen some "very controlled" contact, according to Billy Donovan.
Wednesday marks the four-week deadline for getting his knee re-evaluated, so hopefully we'll get some news on his progression then. Given that he's still not full-go with the season just over a week away, it's safe to assume that he could miss a few games to start the season. Dennis Schroder has looked fantastic in preseason and would start if Westbrook were forced to sit.
Westbrook is currently ranked 10th in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings, but that number assumes he plays 80 games, which is looking increasingly unlikely.
