Warriors expected to go with a 'center by committee' to start the season
The Golden State Warriors are expected to start the 2018-19 season with a center by committee according to head coach Steve Kerr.
Jordan Bell, Kevon Looney, and Damian Jones will see the bulk of the minutes at the five-spot while DeMarcus Cousins recovers from Achilles surgery. Bell is the favorite to earn the starting job and play the larger share of minutes at center until Cousins returns. Kerr also reiterated that Draymond Green would stick to power forward and will not start at center this season.
Our models project Bell for 6.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.4 blocks in 21.4 minutes per game this season.
