Nets' DeMarre Carroll to undergo ankle surgery Tuesday
Brooklyn Nets forward DeMarre Carroll will undergo ankle surgery on Tuesday, head coach Kenny Atkinson said.
Carroll injured his ankle last week and was unable to play in the Nets' final two preseason games. "I don’t think it’s a huge thing. It was something where we could go back and forth or get this thing cleaned up and get him feeling 100 percent," said Atkinson. Allen Crabbe (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's opener versus the Detroit Pistons, so look for Caris LeVert and Joe Harris to benefit. It's not clear how long Carroll will be out.
numberFire's models currently project Carroll to average 13.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.0 3-pointers in 28.9 minutes per game this season.
