Elfrid Payton (ankle) questionable again for Pelicans Friday
New Orleans Pelicans point guard Elfrid Payton is questionable for Friday's game versus the New York Knicks.
Payton has been trending towards a return and head coach Alvin Gentry said the point guard is "really close," so barring any setbacks, he should be back out there following a nine-game absence. That will move Jrue Holiday back to shooting guard and return Wesley Johnson to the second unit.
Payton is averaging 29.0 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire's models project him to record 12.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.5 steals in 31.3 minutes per game over the rest of the season.
