Rockets say Chris Paul (hamstring) needs another 2-3 weeks
Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul (hamstring) will be cleared to return in about 2-3 weeks, head coach Mike D'Antoni said.
This is consistent with D'Antoni's comments from Monday, which indicated Paul was targeting a return at the end of January. He reiterated that the Rockets are going to play it very safe with the 33-year-old veteran. In the meantime, James Harden will continue to make his MVP case and there will be more opportunity for Austin Rivers, Danuel House, and Gerald Green.
CP3 was averaging 36.6 FanDuel points in 26 games this season before the injury, with 15.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 2.1 steals, and 2.0 triples per contest.
