Trae Young goes for 24 points, 11 dimes as Hawks topple Thunder

Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young scored 24 points (8-of-17 field goals, 4-of-5 free throws) with 6 rebounds, 11 assists, 4 3-pointers, and 7 turnovers in 32.6 minutes of a 142-126 upset victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

What It Means:

Young scored 13 in the fourth quarter alone to help the Hawks get the win and notch his second straight double-double, the first time he's done so since early November. The turnovers obviously leave a bit to be desired, but the rookie has stepped up his level of play over the last five games, scoring 20.8 points with 5.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.2 triples per contest. Atlanta is off until a home date with the Boston Celtics on Saturday.

Young finished with 40.7 FanDuel points in the victory. He's averaging 35.4 FanDuel points over the past five games, up from 29.9 FanDuel points overall this season.
