76ers reportedly acquire Tobias Harris from Clippers in multiplayer deal

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to acquire forward Tobias Harris, center Boban Marjanovic, and power forward Mike Scott from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for point guard Landry Shamet, guard/forward Wilson Chandler, forward/center Mike Muscala, a 2020 first-round pick, a 2021 unprotected first-round pick via the Miami Heat, a 2021 second-round pick, and a 2023 second-round pick, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

What It Means:

Harris will go from being the primary scorer in Los Angeles to a third or fourth option playing alongside Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler, and Ben Simmons, but he's a significant upgrade over Wilson Chandler and gives the 76ers a better chance of representing the Eastern Conference in the finals. Woj adds that Philadelphia intends to re-sign free agents Butler and Harris this summer, indicating they plan on keeping this new Big 4 together for the long haul. Harris will likely make his debut at home on Friday against the Denver Nuggets. As for the Clippers, shipping Harris provides them with a clear path to signing someone to a max deal this offseason.

Tobias averaged 35.9 FanDuel points over 55 games for the Clippers this season, with 20.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.7 steals, and 2.0 triples on a 23.6 usage rate.
